Bird Golf - Jekyll Island
Bird Golf school students have unlimited access to 63 holes of Championship golf. The Grand Dunes golf course, designed by Walter Travis, meanders around coastal Georgia’s beach, swept with oaks and unique oceanfront landscape. The direct descendant of all American Ocean Links courses, the Oleander course, built by Dick Wilson in 1964 challenges our Georgia golf school students with unique dog legs situated 300 yards from the ocean. The Indian Mound course plays through pristine lakes and marshes. Designed by the legendary Joe Lee in 1975, this serene setting is named for the oyster shell midden deposited by Aboriginal tribes hundreds of years ago.
Completing your golf school dream vacation is the Pine Lakes courses, which makes its way through oceanfront forests populated by migratory birds. The “family friendly” tee boxes make this layout the only golf course in America that allows players of all ages to compete evenly. Bird Golf school students have several putting and chipping greens to hone their new skills and a superb driving range surrounded by Georgia pines. In all ways, Jekyll Island is the idyllic golf school setting.
