National Golf School @ Water Gap Country Club
Water Gap Country Club is a historic golf course, located at the gateway to the beautiful Pocono Mountains, that offers scenic splendor and championship play.
Water Gap Country Club, originally penned by A.W. Tillinghast and completed in 1922 by Robert White (the first PGA president and father of Grand Strand golf), hosted the Eastern Open from 1926 to 1928. During those years Walter Hagen, Gene Sarazen, Leo Diegel and many other golf legends competed in this PGA event. They often came back to play this historic course in a more casual atmosphere to enjoy it's challenge and beauty. Water Gap retains its historic charm today, offering golfers a unique opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the golfing greats of the Golden Era of Sports Water Gap Country Club, formerly known as Wolf Hollow Country Club, is a challenging layout which is rewarding to players of all abilities. From Beginner to intermediate to low handicapper, Water Gap is fascinating to all players. The course is fun for a lot of reasonsÉIt gives you birdie chances but it can also jump up and bite you. There are certain holes where hitting a 300 yard drive is not a necessity. Walter Hagen's course record of 64 remains intact over 80 years despite the advancement in golf technology. A round at Water Gap will remind you of how golf was meant to be.
