La Cantera Golf Academy
The Academy at La Cantera, a Golf Digest school, features a custom-designed learning center complete with indoor hitting bay, covered tee areas and a spacious grass hitting area for both long and short game work. The teaching bay houses a state-of-the-art video system with multiple camera angles used to analyze your swing and explain principals that help you become a better golfer. Your fundamentals will be compared with those of PGA Tour and LPGA Tour professionals to detect and isolate key areas of your technique that need improvement. All lessons and schools include a take home video and a written game plan for improvement.
Director of Instruction Michael Lamanna leads the teaching staff of certified PGA Professionals. Mr. Lamanna has over 23 years experience teaching golf. He has worked with teaching legends Jim McLean and Bob Toski and has taught clinics with World Golf Hall of Fame Members Gary Player, Ben Crenshaw, Billy Casper and Tony Jacklin. He served as Director of Schools for the PGA Golf Academy and worked with Golf Magazine Top 100 teacher Scott Sackett. His students include golfers of all levels including top collegiate golfers, PGA Tour and LPGA tour players.
